Terrence Neal Tusan was born on September 30, 1992, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Kevin and Donna Tusan.
He was the younger of their two children and was doted upon by his parents and older brother, Joseph.
Terrence always had a quiet demeanor and a steely confidence that he could accomplish whatever he set
out to do.
Because of his father and brother’s love for football, it was a “no brainer” that he decided to play the
game at the age of four, when he would tell his parents that his heart was shaped like a football. From that
age, Terrence was a natural at the sport and played the position of running back. While his 5’7,” 150
pound frame did not intimidate defensive teams upon first glance, his talent for hitting open holes
quickly, and overall play on the field soon got their attention. Terrence recognized that he had to be three
times as good as the next man due to his perceived lack of size; for that reason, he developed a strong
work ethic and always played with HEART!!
Terrence attended Euless Trinity High School in Euless, Texas, where he was an outstanding running
back. He was named the Most Valuable Player when Euless Trinity won the 2009 Texas 5A State
Championship. Euless Trinity also won the High School National Championship that year. Terrence was selected to the 1st team All-District as a junior running back.
After graduating from Euless Trinity, he enrolled at Howard University in Washington, D.C. to pursue a
degree in Sports Management. He played running back for four seasons at Howard, with his fourth season
being his best (331 rushing yards and 2 TDs, including a 70 yard TD). He was ecstatic when he rushed for
101 yards in one game.
Even though his ultimate dream was to play professional football, Terrence knew he needed a backup
career plan that would keep him involved in sports to some extent. He thought he might enjoy coaching or
recruiting athletes.
In his leisure time, Terrence enjoyed listening to music and creating lyrics and beats with friends; he was
a loyal and trusted friend. Unfortunately, on December 21, 2014, Terrence was killed during his
Christmas break from college, which he was on track to graduate in May of 2015.
